Life in the city.

I am definitely excited for this blog post because anything that has to do with music automatically has my heart. DJing is more then a skill it’s an art where one is able to take people on a journey with a good selection of songs .

I came across a link for a mix on my social media and there is nothing I enjoy more then hearing a mix and being dumfounded by new songs and how perfect they are, basically she put me on. I now have the honor to have this phenomenal woman on my blog.

So without wasting any more time Karabo Salemane shares s bit about herself:

I am just a small town girl trying to find and understand both myself and others through music, poetry and everyday interactions with the world around me.

I am an academic, a sister, a daughter and probably the weirdest friend you could ever make.I always try my hardest to navigate life with love and tenderness but if need be, I will draw my swords; fighting for women and queer rights is the hill I choose to die on.

I grew up around music so I guess that’s why it’s so close to my heart and to be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I do not remember a time where there was never any music playing in our household – from Reggae to Jazz and your good old R&B jams. Curating music is just my way of expressing myself where words fail – and that they often do.

Here is what you can look forward to.
